Innovative features

The Gemini series has a number of specifications that set it apart from other products. For example, it has a thermal image sensor and a digital night vision sensor. Both lenses can be focused and used separately. In addition, the GEH50R offers the possibility of merging the two technologies together. In that case, information from both sensors is overlaid. To ensure that both layers overlap perfectly, they can be moved via a menu to create the best possible image. In addition to the thermal image and night vision function, the Gemini offers a highly accurate laser rangefinder. This allows the hunter to determine the exact distance to the target at any time of the day or night. This is a huge advantage, especially for night hunting.

Technical specifications in detail

The thermal image sensor has a resolution of 640 x 512 pixels and a pixel spacing of 12 µm, providing maximum image quality. Unlike the thermal image sensor, the rear-view lens has a diameter of only 35 mm. But it has a 1920×1080 pixel detector. The NETD value of <25 mK also meets current standards. This makes it possible to distinguish heat sources very well.

The detection range of the thermal imaging sensor is 2600 m. The rangefinder can measure distances up to 1200 m. The Gemini GEH50R is powered by two 18650 batteries, which are included. These allow you to observe continuously for 6 hours. Of course, the Gemini offers the colour palettes familiar from the InfiRay in thermal imaging mode. What is new is that these can also be used in fusion mode. The GEH50R can record photos and videos, which are stored on the device’s 64GB internal memory.

The data can be accessed via the InfiRay app or PC. A new feature is that the recorded data can also be viewed on the 1024×768-pixel OLED screen inside the device.
