The SEISSIGER Solar Panel is an additional power source for wildlife cameras. The solar panel has a built-in lithium-ion battery that is continuously charged by the solar cells as long as they are exposed to sunlight. Once connected, the solar panel’s charged lithium battery powers the camera for as long as possible. Only when the solar panel battery level is temporarily too low does the camera switch to the internal batteries. This significantly extends the life of the camera’s batteries.
Before first use, we recommend fully charging the built-in battery via a wall outlet with a USB-C charging cable (takes up to 12 hours).
COMPATIBILITY
The solar panel is suitable for both 12V and 6V wildlife cameras.
Two DC output cables are included in the delivery:
– A 12V cable (left)
– A 6V cable with voltage converter (right)
SEISSIGER cameras typically use the lower voltage of 6V, while many other wildlife cameras operate at 12V and use the left DC cable. Both cables have a length of 150 cm.
Connecting the solar panel:
1. Choose the right cable for your camera.
2. The threaded side of the cable end belongs in the solar panel.
3. Open the left rubber cover and carefully screw the plug into the solar panel thread. Caution: over-tightening may damage the thread.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to your camera’s external power input (see your camera model manual).
