Description
The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. These thermal imaging binoculars sit comfortably in the hand, yet offer attractive external aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are located in the comfortable access area and the most commonly used digital device functions are activated with a single touch.
A powerful long-range objective lens combined with a highly sensitive 640×480@17µm thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m high object can be detected up to 1800m away in complete darkness.
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. One charge guarantees a battery life of up to 10 hours. Thanks to the relief on the housing of the replaceable battery for accurate positioning, a flat battery can be replaced quickly and confidently by touch with a new one.
Understanding target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. With a built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer, you can measure distances in single measurement and continuous scan modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
A high-sensitivity sensor with < 25 mK NETD records minimal temperature differences when observing in low-temperature contrast conditions, as well as in rain or fog. The 640×480 pixel resolution provides reliable target identification, high-quality visualization of important anatomical features of the animal plus minute details of the surrounding landscape.
The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars takes full account of the nature of human vision. It is natural for a human to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Seeing with two eyes is less tiring than seeing with one eye. This means better detection of small or faint objects and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than comparable monocular thermal imagers of the same technical level. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 56 to 71 mm, in accordance with the individual characteristics of a given user.
